Dorothy A. Ketcham, 85 of Parker, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center. Funeral mass will be at 10:30am Saturday, August 1, 2015 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Humboldt with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 5-7pm Friday at the church with a Scripture Service at 7:00pm Friday evening. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. Dorothy A. Kueter was born on April 26, 1930 near Humboldt, SD to William and Lenora (Kuborn) Kueter. She attended St. Ann's Catholic School and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1948. After receiving her teaching certificate from General Beadle in Madison she taught country school. On May 26, 1953 she was united in marriage to Earl Ketcham at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Wellington. They farmed in the Humboldt and Parker area. Her husband Earl died in 1986. She worked at various jobs and retired at the age of 75 from Parker Filters. Grateful for having shared her life are 5 sons, Dale (Linda) and Michael (Barb), all of Parker, Martin (Lori), Humboldt, Daniel (Karen), Lennox, and Jon, Sioux Falls; a daughter Karen (Jim) Kadinger, Hartford; 25 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; 5 brothers Bill Kueter, La Puente, CA, Ed Kueter, Hartford, Richard (Donna) Kueter, Sioux Falls, Robert (Irene) Kueter, Humboldt, and Charles Kueter, Hills, MN; and 2 sisters Jean (Vincent) Ketcham and Carol Stinehart, all of Sioux Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl in 1986, 2 sisters, Pat and Sister Martina, 3 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
