After a life of love and quiet grace, Alex Koller, 29, has passed.

These are the contours of a life that meant a great deal to many.

The story begins in 1992, with the arrival of a life that would be cherished by many.

What we lose too soon, we hold even tighter in memory.

Alex Koller, 29 of Parker, passed away on April 12, 2022. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the Parker Community Building with a short memorial service at 7:00 PM. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be given to a charity in memory of Alex. Arrangements provided by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home. Alex Robert Koller was born on May 24, 1992 in Sioux Falls, SD to Thomas and Anita "Petey" (Friman) Koller. He was the youngest of the boys, joining big brother Eric. He graduated from Parker High School in 2011, where he participated in football and track. He attended the University of South Dakota, and worked various jobs, recently working for Custom Built Homes as a Sales Representative. Alex had many hobbies. He liked to go fishing and hunt for pheasants and asparagus. The family had a vacation spot along the Missouri River where they went every summer, and many memories were made there. Every time he could, he would jump in his dad's Mustang and take it for a cruise. He loved to spend time with his friends, his family, and the family dog, Maggie Mae. Alex struggled with addiction for many years. Though he had his demons, he was not defined by them. He will always be remembered as someone who always checked in on others, his smile, and his big heart. Alex will always be remembered by his parents Tom and Anita (Petey) of Parker; brother Eric of San Diego, CA; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and Maggie Mae. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
