After a life of love and quiet grace, Karolyn Cundy, 70, has passed.

These pages are a small offering toward a much larger life.

The story begins in 1949, with the arrival of a life that would be cherished by many.

What remains is what was loved.

Karolyn Cundy, 70 formerly of Monroe, South Dakota died Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Avantara Nursing Home in Salem, SD. Visitation with family present will be from 5-7pm Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home in Parker. Karolyn K. Cundy was born on January 23, 1949 to John and Alvina (Langle) Stubbe. They lived in the Clayton, South Dakota area before moving to Monroe, South Dakota. She attended school in Canistota, South Dakota and graduated from Canistota High School in 1967. While working at Stanley Corner as a waitress she met Larry Cundy, they were married on October 25, 1969. They lived in Monroe where they raised their three daughter, Tamara, Lori, and Kimberly. Since 2005 she has been a nursing home resident. Grateful for having shared her life are her three daughters, Kimberly (Rich Niemiec) Weicht, Sioux Falls, SD, Lori (Kenny Tschetter) Cundy, Mitchell, SD, and Tamara (Tony Horstman) Cundy, Marion, SD; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry, a brother Dennis, and a sister Marie.
