Marilyn held deeply to the Methodist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

The community of faith holds its own well — and Marilyn was held.

Marilyn "Mary Ann" PaulsonMarilyn Paulson, 92 of Viborg died Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Centerville Care Center. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the United Methodist Church, Viborg with burial in the Hurley Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before services at the church. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. Marilyn "Mary Ann" Paulson was born on December 26, 1925 near Hurley, SD to William and Edna (Fisher) Haines. She grew up near Hurley where she graduated from Hurley High School. She was united in marriage to Leland Paulson and they farmed in the Viborg area. She was a very active member of the Viborg United Methodist Church, was an excellent cook, gardener and enjoyed quilting. Her husband died in 1984. Grateful for having shared her life are 2 grandchildren, Matt (Megan) Schooley, Elk Point and Andrea (Nate) Bristow, Reno, NV; 6 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leland, daughter Linda, grandson Aaron, brothers William and John "Pete", and sisters Velma and Evangeline "Cookies".
