Born in 1932, Ruby began a life that would touch many along the way.

Ruby was witness to a great deal of change — and shaped some of it.

Ruby Wiens, 92 of Marion, passed away on November 22, 2024 at the Tieszen Memorial Home, Marion. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 30, 2024 at the Greenwood Cemetery, Marion. Arrangements provided by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home. Ruby Berniece Wiens was born on February 28, 1932 to George and Ida (Deckert) Wiens at Marion, SD. She joined her sister Donna. After graduating from Marion High School in 1950, she was employed in various clerical jobs in Florida, Texas, Georgia, and California, where she retired. In 1997 Ruby traveled to Ukraine with the Co-Mission team for one year of service. In 2019 she moved back to South Dakota and became a resident of the Assisted Living Center at the Tieszen Memorial Home, where she passed away on November 22, 2024. Ruby will be missed. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Ida, and sister Donna.
