A life remembered begins, simply, with the telling.

Born in 1932, Dwaine began a life that would touch many along the way.

Dwaine was witness to a great deal of change — and shaped some of it.

Dwaine V. Becker Dwaine Victor Becker, 90 of Marion, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Freeman Medical Center, Freeman. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 3, 2023 at the First Church of God, Marion with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, March 2 at the church with a Prayer Service starting at 7:00 PM. Arrangements by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home. Dwaine was born December 18 th 1932, on a farm West of Marion and attended Marion High School.Dwaine married Marva Thomas on August 7 th 1953. Surviving Dwaine is his wife of 69 yrs and four daughters, Sherry Casey (Tom), Jerilyn Glanzer, Lucy Witkop (Dean), Melody Pullman (Jayson). He had twelve grandchildren; Hollie, Nick, Josh, Tom, Ashlie, Alicia, Caiti, Jon, Hailey, Jalyn, Hope, Paul , and eleven great grandchildren; Julia, Bailee, Gabby, Jayelyn, Dylan, Jack, Eli, Claudia, Evie Lurue, Maxwell, Trin and Tru; Brother, Clellan Becker (Joanne) and sister-in-law Joann (Harlan) Becker. Preceded in death were his parents Paul and Alma Becker, brothers Leslie and Harlan Becker. Dwaine always had a positive and cheerful attitude accompanied by a great smile. He was friendly and readily visited with others. Dwaine was dedicated and overjoyed with his family. He often took pictures at family events and made videos from the pictures. Dwaine enjoyed trains, hunting and camping with family. He had a love for travel with his wife, listening to music, played his saxophone in the Lenox band and sang in the church choir. Dwaine was a jokester and liked to perform magic tricks. He served on the Tieszen Memorial Nursing Home board for thirty-eight years. Dwaine was friendly and readily visited with others. He loved God and was committed to his strong faith and church. Dwaine was a progressive thinker from a very young age. He served his community and truly loved working with his business, Becker Brother's Inc., as an earth mover and private contractor. Dwaine had a strong impact on many people and will be greatly missed.
