Donna Plucker, 77,, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

The chapters of her life were many; these are some of them.

Donna's story began in 1945, and unfolded across the years that followed.

Donna spent her working life as ['bank teller and as a floral designer'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

Some legacies are not written; they walk the earth, named after those who came before.

Donna J. Plucker, 77 of Parker died Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Ava's House in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the Chancellor Reformed Church, Chancellor, SD with burial in Germantown Cemetery, Chancellor. Visitation will be from 5-7pm Tuesday at the church. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. Donna Jean Plucker was born on October 29, 1945 at Sioux Falls, SD to Lester and Gertrude (Nugteren) Griebel. She grew up in the Monroe, SD area and graduated from Monroe High School in 1963. On January 10, 1964 she was united in marriage to Fred Plucker at Monroe, SD. They farmed and lived northeast of Parker before moving into Parker in 2006. Fred died in 2014. For the past 3 years she has been a resident of the Inn on Westport in Sioux Falls. Donna was a longtime member of the Chancellor Reformed Church, extension club member and loved to play cards and was a member of several card clubs. Over the years she worked as a bank teller and as a floral designer. Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Ross (Lynn) Plucker of Chancellor and Jennifer (Alan) Petersen of Parker; grandchildren Derrick (Shannon) Getty, Justin Plucker, Arika Olson and Austin Olson; and great grandson Blake Getty. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred, a son Thad and sister Diane.
