Jeff Almond, 67,, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.

Jeff's story began in 1954, and unfolded across the years that followed.

Jeff spent his working life as ['Restaurant Manager in Sioux Falls'] and held deeply to the Methodist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

What is held in faith is rarely lost.

Jeffrey Bruce Almond, 67 of Indianapolis,Indiana, formerly of Hurley S.D. passed away Feb 16, 2022 at IU West Hospital in Indianapolis. Funeral Service will be 11:00am Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the United Methodist Church, Parker, with burial to follow at the Rosehill Cemetery. Arrangements by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home. Memorials maybe made to the United Methodist Church. Jeff was born on June 22nd, 1954 in Sioux Falls to Robert and Audrae (Stoddard) Almond. Jeff grew up on the family farm SW of Hurley. He helped out on the farm, played school sports, and enjoyed hunting. He was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Parker S.D. Jeff graduated from Hurley in 1972. After graduation , he attended SDSU in Brookings where he graduated from the ROTC program with the class of 1976. Jeff married Chris Dries and to this union they had two children, David Almond and Laurie Almond. He and his family moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where Jeff was stationed for several years. Later Jeff worked as a Restaurant Manager in Sioux Falls, was a traveling salesman in the Midwest and managed a Restaurant in Indianapolis. He was passionate about the Indianapolis Colts, the Jackrabbits of SDSU, and enjoyed the company of family and friends. Jeff is survived by his Daughter Laurie (AJ) Reit of Harrisburg, S.D. Grandchildren Alexis Hoverson, Pullman, Washington, Bea Hoverson, Harrisburg, and Ariana Reit, Harrisburg. Brothers, Stephen (Bonnie) Almond, Moorhead, MN and Gregory (Elaine) Almond, Harvard, NE. Aunt Ferne Liebsch, Arlington, S.D. Uncles Bill (Callie) Stoddard, Sioux Falls, Lee (Betty) Stoddard, Madison S.D. Aunt Linda (Stan Harris), Franklin, Wisconsin, a cousin Sandy Severson, Sioux Falls, SD numerous nephews, cousins, and friends, and special friends Randy Flyger and Cameron Hoverson. Jeff was preceded in death by his Parents, Son David Almond, and Brother Roger Almond.
