It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Lolette Marie Oja, 36, — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

What follows is written with love, by those who knew her best.

Lolette entered this world in 1981 — the start of a journey that would span 37 years.

Lolette held deeply to the Lutheran faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

The traditions Lolette loved will continue to hold those she loved.

Following the service, an open visitation will be held until 6:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses. Lolette Marie Oja was a loving, wife, mother and friend, who tragically left this life on earth in a fatal car crash to be in the loving arms of our Father on April 7, 2018. Born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on July 27, 1981, Lolette entered this world at two and a half pounds fighting for her little life. Her strength and determination prevailed as she overcame many obstacles in her path. October 16, 2010 was a beautiful day as Lolette took Steven Oja's hand in marriage. Her favorite pastime was cuddling with Steve and her four young children Braeden (12), Alyssa (8), Chase (5), and Dawsyn (3). Lolette had a zest for life. She loved to cook, sing karaoke, fish, garden and sit around the campfire with family and friends. Friends and family will miss Lolette's beautiful smile and kind heart. Lolette is survived by her husband, Steven Oja, her children, Braeden, Alyssa, Chase and Dawsyn, Chancellor, SD; In-laws Mike Oja (Cindy), Watertown SD; siblings, Julie Dykstra (Curt), Yankton, SD, Joleen Loberg Heldenbra, Crooks SD; Tanya Loberg Foster, (Scott), Hartford SD; Rick Loberg, Yankton SD; aunt, Patricia Loberg, Sioux Falls SD; brother in-law, Jeff Oja, Worthing, SD; several nieces and nephews.
