After a life of love and quiet grace, Ronald Muller, 78, has passed.

These few paragraphs cannot hold a life, but they may carry a memory.

Ronald entered this world in 1942 — the start of a journey that would span 79 years.

Ronald held deeply to the Catholic faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

Some answer a call. Ronald was one of them.

Ron Muller, 78 of Parker, passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2021 at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Memorial Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 7, 2021 at St. Christina's Catholic Church in Parker. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, August 6, 2021 at Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker. Arrangements by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home. Ronald Gene Muller was born on October 21, 1942 to Donald and Jeanette (Geiken) Muller. He attended country school and Parker Elementary, graduating from Parker high School in 1961. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, from which he was honorably medically discharged. Ron married Judy Marso on July 3, 1971, having just celebrated their 50 th anniversary. To this union, two children were born: Derek Muller (Katy Schoenwald) of Marion and Kari Muller of Marion. He was blessed with 2 grandchildren, Ashley Rosenwald and Nickolas Muller, and one great-grandchild, Harper Rabenberg. Ron worked in the manufacturing/welding field and then onto industrial sales at JBM Supply Co. Ultimately, JBM changed ownership, becoming Northern States Supply, which Ron managed until retirement. Following retirement, he stayed busy with part-time employment, which included driving for Parker Transit (ROCS). He thoroughly enjoyed interacting and building relationships with all of his riders, especially the pre-school kids. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, and watching tv/movies, especially Westerns and historical series. He had a lifelong love of cars, having raced at Thunder Valley Dragways in his younger years. He was an extremely hard worker, due in large part to the work ethic instilled in him by his parents, which he and Judy then instilled in their children. Ron had a big heart, fantastic sense of humor, undeniable charm and above else, he loved his family. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, brother Roger (Chereen) Muller, niece, nephews, cousins, friends and special neighbors. Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
