What Traci loved
Faith

The family of Traci Atkinson, 40, announces her passing, and invites all who knew her to remember her here.

A life remembered begins, simply, with the telling.

Traci's story began in 1978, and unfolded across the years that followed.

Traci spent her working life as ['correspondent for Advertising Checking Bureau'] and held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

A life of faith is rarely a life of certainty — but always one of trust.

Traci Atkinson, 40 of Sioux Falls, formally of Viborg, passed away on March 12, 2019 at the Doughtery House in Sioux Falls after a courageous battle against cancer. Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, March 15, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Viborg. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Traci was born on June 14, 1978 in Sioux Falls, SD to Mike and Mary (Meyer) Meyers. She grew up in Viborg and Canistota, graduating from Canistota High School in 1996. Traci lived in Arizona for 20 years, where she worked as a correspondent for Advertising Checking Bureau. She moved to Sioux Falls in 2018. Traci is survived by her children Geoffrey, Kristina, and Stephanie Atkinson of Mesa, AZ; parents Mike of Viborg and Mary of Sioux Falls; sisters Leah Meyers (Dwayne Vinson) of Sioux Falls, Nicole Lindner (Chris Little) of Sioux Falls, Tonya Lambert (Michael McGregor) of Garretson, and Ainsley (Jordan) Hout of Canton; brothers Christopher Lambert of Sioux Falls, Brayden (Michelle) Meyers of Viborg, and Layne Meyers of Madison; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Traci is preceded in death by her grandparents Viola and Ambrose Meyers, and Hazel (Hagstrom) and Henry Meyer.
