With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Dale D. Graber, 89,.

Below, the simplest tribute: the truth of a life as it was lived.

The story begins in 1928, with the arrival of a life that would be cherished by many.

Dale held deeply to the Presbyterian faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

A life of belief is a life of quiet conversation with something larger.

Dale D. Graber, 89, died January 5, 2018 at Woodbury Estates Senior Living, Woodbury, MN. He leaves his wife of 64 years, Dorothy (Webb) Graber, his daughters, Lynne Graber Williams, Lois Graber Williams (Henry), and son, Lawrence Graber (Pam), 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Dale was born and raised in Bridgewater, SD, the son of Daniel and Mary Graber. He was the second youngest of 12 children. He is survived by one sister, Janet Graber Green, Las Vegas, Nevada. Dale joined the Army in 1950 and served in the Armed Services until 1952. He met his wife, Dorothy, at Northwestern College, Minneapolis, MN and they were married in 1954. Dale and Dorothy served as missionaries at ELWA, Liberia, Africa, for 9 years. Dale and Dorothy moved back to Bridgewater, SD in 1967 where Dale was self-employed for 10 years. They moved to Clearwater, Kansas in 1977 to start a roofing business. After retirement they moved to Parker, SD until the fall of 2017 when they moved to Assisted Living in Woodbury, MN to be near family. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 25th, 11:00 am, at Trinity Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 540 East 2nd Street, Bridgewater, SD. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to be made to radio station ELWA. Donations can be made out to EMAUSA, P.O. Box 1, Warrenville, IL. 60555. Website: elwamausa.org
