It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Deborah Pederson, 68, — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

A life is more than dates on a stone; here is a small portion of her story.

Deborah entered this world in 1953 — the start of a journey that would span 68 years.

Deborah spent her working life as ['many years in the Snack Shack'] and held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

The traditions Deborah loved will continue to hold those she loved.

Deborah Pederson, 68 of Viborg died Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Ava's House in Sioux Falls. By her request no services will be held at this time. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. After high school she worked at the state hospital in Yankton before being united in marriage to Don Pederson on September 2, 1972 at Kaylor. They lived and farmed near Viborg where she also worked for many years in the Snack Shack. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
