Robert "Bob" Elliot, 73 of Parker died Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the VA Medical Center, Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Parker Community Building with burial at Rosehill Cemetery, Parker. Visitation will be from 2-4pm Sunday at the Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home, Parker. Robert Hartley Elliot was born on July 21, 1942 at Dows, Iowa to Orvis and Avis (March) Elliot. He grew up in Iowa where he graduated from Edgewood High School in 1958. He served in the US Army for 2 years having been stationed in Germany. On March 25, 1964 he was united in marriage to Marie at Parker, SD. They lived in Parker where he was employed at Richardson Oil Co, Ross Johnson Electric for over 20 years, and Bob Elliot Electric until his retirement. Over the years they raised many foster children in their home. He was a member of the Parker Fire Department. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Marie; 3 children Patti Elliot Sullivan, Sioux Falls, Duane (Debbie) Elliot, Vermillion, and Jeremy Elliot, Parker; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; a brother Gary Elliot, Manchester, IA and a sister Joan Lucas, Guttenberg, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Tim, a grandson Tanner, and a brother Larry.
