After a life of love and quiet grace, Ruth Gortmaker, 95, has passed.

What we offer here is gratitude wrapped in remembrance.

The story begins in 1928, with the arrival of a life that would be cherished by many.

Ruth held deeply to the Lutheran faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

Some find their compass in faith. Ruth was among them.
