Thelma Ferguson, 93,, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

Thelma Frances Ferguson passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014, a day before her 94th birthday. Mrs. Ferguson was born in Charlotte, NC, to Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Grady McAlister on October 10, 1920. She married Johnny Eric Ferguson in Charlotte on February 13, 1944. Four children were born to their union: Eric (Ruth Lena) Ferguson, Apopka, FL; Irby (Sarah) Ferguson, Warrior, AL; Shirley (Randal) Beam, Woodbury, TN; and Carol (Rick) Schuurmans, Parker, SD. She was a sweet-spirited woman with a love for the things of God. A memorial service is scheduled for this Sunday, 1:00 pm, at Grace Baptist Church, 25852 455th Street, Sioux Falls.
